MANILAextreme gaming 88, Philippines — The Department of the Interior and Local Government will issue an executive order (EO) to local chief executives (LCEs) requiring them to report any suspicious activities related to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (Pogos), according to Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
This was part of the government’s intensified efforts to eliminate all Pogos per President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive.

Article continues after this advertisement“Mag-i-issue po ang aming kagawaran ng isang EO sa lahat ng mga LCE na required silang mag-submit ng suspicious activities within their localities sa mga movement or possible setup ng mga Pogo,” Remulla said in a Palace briefing.

“Malalaman iyan sa spike bigla ng bandwidth use, entry of suspicious people congregating in houses not registered as businesses, makikita iyan sa movement ng mga foreigners na gustong mag-setup diyan na hindi naman kilala,” he also said.

Article continues after this advertisementHe also added that around 100 “rogue Pogos” are secretly operating in residential houses, hotels, and even resorts, with local authorities still working to shut them down.
These rogue Pogos are composed of former Pogo employees whose companies have already shut down.
