MANILA, Philippines — The autopsy of slain police executive master sergeant (PEMS) Emmanuel De Asis revealed that he was not only shot dead but was also stabbed, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).
According to Taguig City police’s report last Nov. 28, De Asis was allegedly gunned down and dismembered by police lieutenant colonel (PLTCOL) Roderick Pascua.

Pascua, in an extrajudicial confession, initially told Taguig police that he caught De Asis in “intimate relations” with his wife in their apartment at the Married Officers’ Quarters (MOQ) in Camp Bagong Diwa, headquarters of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).

PNP said it was still checking for blood stains at the MOQ apartment.

According to the PNP spokesperson, both Pascua and his wife were placed under restrictive custody and transferred from the Taguig City Police Station to the NCRPO, as authorities were building up the murder raps against the couple.

Moreover, Fajardo said police were working with De Asis’ son, who claimed on a social media post last Friday that the Pascuas conspired with 10 to 20 other individuals to kill his father.
Taguig police already forwarded murder complaints to the Department of Justice last Friday, said NCRPO Acting Regional Director Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin.
Concerned units were also instructed to file administrative cases against the Pascua couple.

“Considering the gravity of the offensedc188, the minimum penalty with this kind of offense is dismissal from the service. We want to assure the family: we will get to the bottom of this and this will not be tolerated by the PNP,” Fajardo said.
