Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed her support for Palestine during her appearance in Parliament on Monday. She carried a shoulder bag emblazoned with the word "Palestine".

The image, shared by Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed on social media, has since gone viral.

"Smt. Priyanka Gandhi shows her solidarity with Palestine by carrying a special bag symbolizing her support. A gesture of compassion, commitment to justice and humanity! She is clear that nobody can violate the Geneva Convention," Mohamed wrote in her post.

A video by ANI also captured Priyanka walking towards Parliament with the bag. By doing so, she apparently has tried reinforce her continued stance on Palestinian solidarity.

This gesture follows Priyanka's longstanding advocacy for Palestine. Recently, she met with Palestine Embassy’s Chargé d’affaires Abed Elrazeg Abu Jazer, who presented her with a historical photo showing a conversation between the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat in New Delhi. During the meeting, Priyanka reiterated her support for the Palestinian people's struggle for statehood.

The Congress leader has been a vocal critic of the ongoing violence in Gaza.

"On Childrens Day, today, let us remind ourselves that we have failed the thousands of children that are being massacred in Palestine every moment. They deserved better from humanity. We must all raise our voices and demand an end to the horrendous violence being committed against them." Priyanka Gandhi Vadra wrote in her earlier post.

"Amit Rohidas was suspended for one match for a breach of the FIH Code of Conduct which occurred during the India vs Great Britain match on August 4," a FIH official statement read.

She has strongly condemned the conflictokebet, which has claimed nearly 50,000 lives, as per reports.
